Yoga and fresh ‘phreezing’ increase athletic performance by teaching kids precision through coordination of body placement on the symbols. The focus required amplifies listening skills, technical motor skills, and spatial awareness. In addition, emphasis placed on taking steady breaths while holding still postures builds strength, balance, flexibility, and most importantly provides a gateway to the meditative state where athletes learn to “enter the zone.” Whether it’s ballet, basketball, baseball, gymnastic, all child athletes can benefit from the practice. Phresh Kids are upping the standards, and the score boards!

Phresh Kids Mats were one of the fun activities for kids in the Let’s Move! LA end zone at the KJLH Women’s Health Forum. Hundreds of kids showed up to participate at the LA Convention Center. Boys and girls learned how to yoga-break, and many kids developed their own super phresh phreezes! Special appearances included musician Stevie Wonder and NFL player Chris Draft. The First Lady would have been proud!
